In need of help at running back, the Colts have turned to an old friend. Rhodes, who’s been with the team on two separate occasions, has been re-signed. He most recently played with the UFL’s Florida Tuskers.

Rhodes’ addition might be an indication the Colts’ top three RBss may not be available or be limited for Thursday night’s critical game in Nashville against the Titans. Starter Joseph Addai has missed the past six games with nerve damage in one of his shoulders. Backups Donald Brown and Mike Hart suffered ankle injuries in last Sunday’s loss to Dallas. ... Rhodes has rushed for 3,114 yards and 26 touchdowns in nine NFL seasons. He last played for the Colts in 2008 when he rushed for 538 yards and six touchdowns.
