XTRA Sports 910 Mike Jurecki is reporting that Breaston had knee surgery today; according to sources Breaston tore his meniscus and expected to be out the next couple of games.

Multiple reports -- including one by the team's official web site -- noted that Breaston was limping noticeably on Monday. He's been nursing the tender knee for a week now and was listed as questionable for Sunday's win over Oakland. While he played well enough against the Raiders, it would appear giving up a couple weeks early in the season was a better option than trying to manage the injury. ... Undrafted rookie Stephen Williams is next man on the depth chart. The team also re-signed WR Onrea Jones earlier today.
