Nate Burleson Might Have High Ankle Sprain
(9/22 1:52 PT)

The Facts:
Return specialist Stefan Logan was asked today about possibly taking reps at receiver in case an injury strikes such as it did to Burleson in Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. “I don’t know what they’re going to put in the game plan this week,” Logan said. “We got one guy that went down. He’ll be down for about two, three weeks with a high ankle sprain, so we just got to step in and do the best we can as far as helping the team win and get our first victory.” Reported by the Detroit Free Press

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Burleson sprained his right ankle after catching a pass on the game’s first play, and the Lions had just two other receivers available: Calvin Johnson and Bryant Johnson. Burleson said on Monday his ankle was “a little sore, but it’s not as bad as I thought it was on the field.” HC Jim Schwartz didn’t offer much insight on Burleson’s ankle — “We didn’t amputate it, so we’ll see where that is this week,” he said. ... Stay tuned. We should begin learning more later today when the Lions hit the practice field.
