Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Welker's return comes seven and a half months after tearing the ACL and MCL in his left knee, and six and a half months after undergoing surgery to repair the damage. He also underwent surgery for a torn rotator cuff during the offseason. Though Welker's return to the practice field has been well-documented, Boston Globe staff writer Shalise Manza Young notes that it's still quite a feat for him to be participating in a game so quickly and is a testament to the hard work that he has put in since his surgeries. ... Hopefully we won't have to report back further on Welker until after the game (no in-game updates means no injuries or setbacks).
