Owens and agent Drew Rosenhaus like the Bengals situation and both sides are still negotiating. The team is hoping that a decision is made in the next 48 hours.

The Bengals have already done their due diligence with Owens after his visit here March 9-10. Lewis, the assistant coaches and Brown have always indicated that the visit went well but that the team decided to go in another direction by signing Antonio Bryant to a four-year, $28 million deal. However with questions about Bryant’s health resurfacing late in OTAs and mini-camp, the thought of bringing back Owens resurfaced the past couple weeks. ... Now, of course, time will tell.
