In case you missed it, San Diego Union-Tribune staffer Kevin Acee reported on Tuesday that the Chargers are open to the possibility of trading Jackson, who is reportedly prepared to sit out through Week 10 of the regular season if the team doesn't sign him to a suitable long-term contract. And by suitable, Jackson means something along the lines of the five-year, $50 million deal Brandon Marshall got in Miami. ... Worth noting: ESPN.com's Bill Williamson reminded his readers that current Redskins HC Mike Shanahan has been "a big fan" of Jackson dating back to the 2005 NFL Draft. ... Stay tuned.
