The Facts:
The rookie receiver practiced Friday for the first time since breaking the fifth metatarsal in his left foot while running a cone drill in February. Did he feel soreness or discomfort in the foot? "Not right now," Thomas said. "It's just different. I haven't really gone 100 percent yet, so I don't really know yet."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Broncos' first of two first-round draft picks, Thomas didn't participate in team drills Friday but was cutting, stopping, restarting and sprinting through individual work. He did run routes. He also showed some rust in dropping a couple of balls. "He's just such a big kid, and you don't really realize it until he gets out there on the field," Broncos quarterback Brady Quinn said. "His route running looked pretty solid. I know he's just coming back, but he looked good out there. ..." Local observers expect Thomas to open the season as the team's third receiver, but he'll need to get in tune with the offense before that can happen.
