In what has to be an indication that Marshawn Lynch's days as a Bill are number, Buffalo's new front office overlooked a number of more pressing needs in order to add Spiller to the backfield. ... According to his
NFL.com scouting report, the 5-11, 196-pound Spiller is not the kind of back who can carry a team by rushing 20-25 times a game over the course of a 16-game season. Like a Reggie Bush or Felix Jones, though, he can be a situational player who gives the offense big-play capability out of the backfield. Look for Fred Jackson, rather than Lynch, to be the guy Spiller shares with this fall.
