According to Post staffer Edgar Thompson, a deal isn’t yet in place and Pennington is set to become a free agent at midnight, but “barring something crazy” he will be back in Miami. ... Pennington, who turns 34 in June, continues to recover from season-ending right shoulder injury in Week 3 at San Diego. Pennington’s injury gave the Dolphins a chance for a good look at Chad Henne. Henne will remain the team’s starting QB.
