The Facts:
Because the Chiefs released Johnson after the trade deadline, he was required to pass through waivers, giving every other team a shot at picking up his current contract. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that no one submitted a claim for Johnson's contract. As a result, he now becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Mike Florio notes, Johnson is entitled, if he so chooses, to collect the balance of his $4.55 million base salary as termination pay. Florio believes Johnson will likely choose to take the money, especially since he won't be required to refund any of it if he lands with a new team. ... The next question is who bites on Johnson; Florio is still watching the Patriots while Schefter is reporting the Texans have indicated they're not interested. Other possibilities? Cleveland, Washington and Seattle have been mentioned. Stay tuned.
