Steve Duemig of WDAE in Tampa reports that Galloway has been released. Duemig contacted Galloway, who confirmed that he is indeed gone.

ESPN is also reporting the move. ... Galloway signed with the Patriots in the offseason. In three appearances, he caught seven passes for 67 yards. Julian Edelman and Sam Aiken, who reportedly signed a two-year contract extension on Monday, will continue to work behind Randy Moss and Wes Welker.
