ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the NFL may be questioning Deion Sanders, whose comments on NFL Network from September 4 spurred the 49ers to file tampering allegations against the Jets. Sanders said that two teams are willing to pay Crabtree twice what the 49ers have offered, and that Crabtree knows it.

Sanders, as PFT's Mike Florio stresses, is a league employee. As such, the NFL has the right to tell Sanders that, if he doesn't answer questions, then Deion won't be working for the NFL. It will be interesting to see whether the league has the will to push Deion to sing. ... Meanwhile, there's no movement on talks between Crabtree and the 49ers.
