Stallworth said Thursday he has done "irreparable harm" to the NFL and the family of the man he struck and killed while driving drunk in March and will accept whatever punishment commissioner Roger Goodell has in store. "I apologize for my poor judgment," Stallworth said. "I jeopardized the honor and privilege that I have been given to be an NFL player and to play for our fans. I am truly sorry."

Stallworth, who is under indefinite suspension, met with Goodell in New York on Wednesday to discuss his request for reinstatement. It is not known when Goodell will rule on Stallworth's request. Speaking to reporters at Browns training camp on Wednesday, HC Eric Mangini called the Stallworth-Goodell meeting "a league matter, so I can't elaborate anymore."
