NFL Disapproves Percy Harvin's Contract
(8/5 12:39 PT)

The Facts:
The five-year contract of Harvin has been disapproved by the NFL. The issue, however, is not expected to keep Harvin off the practice field. Harvin, the 22nd pick in the NFL Draft, was able to secure more guaranteed money than the player selected one spot ahead of him, C Alex Mack of the Cleveland Browns. Reported by the St. Paul Pioneer-Press

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Typically, the violation relates to the way a team and agent structure the money of a deal, or language that violates the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Rob Brzezinski, the Vikings vice president of football operations, and Joel Segal, Harvin's agent, will have a time period to resolve the matter. After missing the team's first three practices over two days, Harvin signed a five-year contract with the Vikings on Sunday worth up to $14.5 million, including about $8.5 million in guarantees. Last year's 22nd pick, Felix Jones, signed a five-year contract with $7.6 million in guarantees.
