The Facts:
The five-year contract of Harvin has been disapproved by the NFL. The issue, however, is not expected to keep Harvin off the practice field. Typically, the violation relates to the way a team and agent structure the money of a deal, or language that violates the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Rob Brzezinski, the Vikings vice president of football operations, and Joel Segal, Harvin's agent, will have a time period to resolve the matter. After missing the team's first three practices over two days, Harvin signed a five-year contract with the Vikings on Sunday worth up to $14.5 million, including about $8.5 million in guarantees. Last year's 22nd pick, Felix Jones, signed a five-year contract with $7.6 million in guarantees.
