Vikings Not Worried About Tarvaris Jackson
(8/2 12:12 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on the previous item. ... Here's a good measure for how mild Jackson's knee injury is: Minnesota is not planning to sign another QB to help spread out the repetitions during his absence. HC Brad Childress wouldn't confirm reports that Jackson has a first-degree sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. But he said he expected Jackson to be "fine" and indicated his recovery time will be brief. Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Apparently, it will be short enough that the Vikings will be able to get by with Sage Rosenfels and John David Booty. Only one practice is on the schedule for Sunday before two-a-days resume Monday. OC Darrell Bevell, a former University of Wisconsin QB, filled in when a third arm was needed during individual drills on Saturday. ... Stay tuned.
