Westbrook is expected to return in mid-August. "I think he has a chance to be back by mid-August, and we'll take it from there," HC Andy Reid said on Sunday.

In case you missed it, Westbrook had bone fragments removed from his ankle the first week of June. If the fact the team didn't go out of its way to add a veteran back via free agency wasn't indication enough that all is going well, Westbrook returning before the end of August should be. Indeed, we continue to maintain whatever time Westbrook misses this summer will be beneficial in helping keep him fresh this fall. ...We'll continue to monitor his progress. But at this point, all seems to be on schedule.
