The same source who (correctly) advised PFT of a Comcast SportsNet report regarding the possibility of a new contract for Eagles QB Donovan McNabb now advises them of a new report from CSN regarding the status of Westbrook. Per the report, Westbrook is out with a high ankle sprain until the start of the regular season.

We're currently looking for further confirmation on this one. But PFT's Mike Florio passed along the following based on the CSN report: "Westbrook was examined in Baltimore on Wednesday by ankle specialist Mark Myerson. Apparently, Westbrook might need a procedure to 'clean out' the ankle. ..." If true, Lorenzo Booker and rookie LeSean McCoy will see considerable work this summer and the Eagles might take interest in veteran free agents like Edgerrin James or perhaps Deuce McAllister.
