With starters Marques Colston and Lance Moore still nursing injuries, Meachem ran with the first team in Thursday's OTA workouts and made several impressive catches. "The 'old me' is back, " said Meachem, the No. 27 overall pick in the 2007 draft who said he has dropped from 222 pounds to 213 pounds while working with personal trainers.

Drew Brees said he has noticed an increased confidence in Meachem this offseason. And Meachem said he does feel more confident than he's ever felt in New Orleans. But even more important, he said, is that his "explosion" is back. "I would say my legs are back under me. I've got my strength back, " said Meachem, who has been playing catch-up ever since he suffered a knee injury during the summer of his rookie season. ... This, of course, is the point we kindly remind you that a single practice does not a season make. It does, however, keep Meachem on the ol' Fantasy radar.
