Bucs Fine With Kellen Winslow's OTA Absence
(5/12 3:58 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... Winslow’s absence from the Bucs first voluntary non-contact practice drew the ire of former Bucs DT Warren Sapp, who now works as an analyst for the NFL Network. The team was less worried. “The coaching staff was aware that he wasn’t going to be here,” the team said. “They’ve been in contact with Kellen, and they understand why he wasn’t there.” Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Winslow, acquired in a trade with the Browns in February and later awarded a six-year contract that could be worth as much as $42 million, didn’t attend Tampa Bay’s first offseason training activity workout Tuesday. ... New HC Raheem Morris isn’t scheduled to speak to the media until after Wednesday’s final OTA workout of the week, according to the team. We should find out more about Winslow's absence at that point.
