Falcons Sign FA RB Verron Haynes
(4/29 2:31 PT)

The Facts:
The Falcons turned to a veteran player Wednesday to add some depth in their backfield. Haynes, who spent the last six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was signed by Atlanta. Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As ESPN.com's Pat Yasinskas notedf, it's a chance for Haynes to reunite with OC Mike Mularkey, who was in the same role with the Steelers for the first two seasons Haynes was in Pittsburgh. The Falcons are set with Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood as their top two running backs, but Yasinskas believes Haynes, who also can play special teams, has a shot as the No. 3 back.
