Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Chargers gave Sproles the franchise tag in February, virtually taking him out of free agency. Now, that he signed the tender he will be paid $6.621 million for the upcoming season. As ESPN.com's Bill Williamson notes, even though Sproles signed his tender, he could still sign a long-term contract this year. ... Meanwhile, HC Norv Turner recently suggested that giving Sproles a slightly expanded role this fall will allow LaDainian Tomlinson to be more productive.
