Report: Lions, Matthew Stafford Agree To 6-Year, $78 Million

The Facts:
The first pick of the NFL draft is no longer a mystery. The Lions have agreed to contract terms with Stafford, FOXSports.com has learned. It is a six-year, $78 million deal, with $41.7 million guaranteed. Reported by FOXSports.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to FOXSports.com insider Jay Glazer, the Lions had been negotiating with Stafford and Baylor offensive tackle Jason Smith before ultimately deciding on Stafford as the target. Stafford has been consistently mentioned as a possible No. 1 overall pick since he announced after the season that he would be leaving college a year early to enter the draft.
