Edwards has been a recent no-show at the Browns' off-season conditioning program. His absence may be on advice from his agent. Or it may be with the blessing of the Browns, who don't want him suffering an injury prior to a possible trade.

Plain Dealer staffer Tony Grossi suggests Edwards absence could be his way of protesting the inclusion of himself in trade talks. Then again, Kellen Winslow said Edwards would love to play in New York. As previously noted, talks between the Browns and New York Giants regarding a potential trade sending Edwards to New York have all but died. Still, it's a situation that will remain on the radar through draft day. Stay tuned.
