As teams look into the possibility of trading for Boldin, questions are swirling in league circles regarding whether and to what extent he might have a chronic hip condition that could result in a shorter-than-expected career.

As PFT's Mike Florio reminded readers, Boldin missed some time in 2007 with a hip injury. In six NFL seasons, he has played in all 16 games only twice. Florio went on to suggest that Boldin's injury history confirms his physical style of play -- at the same time it makes the 28-year-old receiver potentially similar to a 28-year-old running back. That might be a bit of a reach, but we don't doubt Florio's contention that the questions are being asked. ... Will it be enough to keep somebody from dealing for the disgruntled Cardinal? Not if the teams interested are in position to make an immediate post-season run.
