Lions HC Jim Schwartz said the recently signed Curry, a seven-year veteran receiver, would be an ideal fit in the slot. "He's had a lot of production in the slot and with Calvin [Johnson] and Bryant Johnson outside, we have a need for a slot receiver," Schwartz said Saturday. "As a defensive coach, I've gone against him a lot of times and he fits there."

According to MLive.com's Tom Kowalski, Curry, a former quarterback, might also be considered for the Wildcat position, if the Lions are going to jump on that fad. "I'd like to get him settled at wide receiver before we start going other places,' Schwartz said. But, if the Lions were thinking in those terms, would Schwartz admit that now? "Probably not,' he said.
