Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Burress faces criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a felony carrying a minimum prison sentence of 3 1/2 years upon conviction. All indications are the two sides are haggling over a plea deal for the star receiver. Multiple reports indicate that Burress' attorney, Benjamin Brafman, and prosecutors remain at odds over the terms. Not surprisingly, Burress is looking to avoid jail time; some jail time appears to be all but certain (predictions range from 3 to 12 months). ... Brafman, asked this morning if Burress would play this year, said that would be a decision Burress would have to make.
