McDaniels Talks About Jay Cutler But Says Little
(3/24 1:32 PT)

The Facts:
HC Josh McDaniels says the team is committed to Cutler as Denver’s QB. Still, the coach says no options -- including trades -- are being ruled out. But when asked if he envisions Cutler being the team’s QB five weeks from now (after the NFL Draft), McDaniels emphatically said, “Yes.” Reported by the Associated Press

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
McDaniels reiterated that Cutler is his QB and the coach promised to do what he can to improve the relationship. “I’ve always been optimistic,” McDaniels said at the NFL meetings. “He’s on our team, he’s under contract, and I understand there’s things we have to work toward in our relationship. ... " Worth noting: McDaniels did wonder why Cutler insisted on having agent Bus Cook present when the coach and QB met face to face in Denver. “It’s not an issue for an agent," McDaniels said. "We’re not talking contract. It was not mutual. He invited his agent.” That last comment lends considerable credence to the notion Cook is using the soap opera to gain leverage -- and money for his client. Whether it's from Denver or somebody else. Stay tuned.
