The Daily News reported last month at the scouting combine that Jones, who has two years left on a four-year, $20 million deal, wanted to renegotiate. His base salary for the coming season is $900,000. Jones won the AFC rushing title last season and he evidently wants a raise. ... The off-season program is voluntary, but Daily News staffer Ralph Vacchiano notes that Jones' no-show is surprising because he's regarded as one of the hardest workers on the team.
