The Facts:
The Giants do return to work Monday morning for the start of their offeseason training program. Burress is eligible to attend the program since he’s still under contract with the Giants. However, he’s not actually expected to attend any part of the off-season program, at least until his legal situation has cleared up (his next court date is March 31).

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Daily News staffer Ralph Vacchiano, it’s not clear if the Giants told him to stay away or not. A source in the NFL Players Association told Vacchiano the union likely would object if the Giants prohibited Burress from attending if he actually wanted to be there. But it’s probably a moot point anyway since the receiver has rarely participated in the offseason program during his four years with the team. He usually trains on his own in Florida during the offseason, even when he’s not facing criminal charges.
