Following up on a previous item. ... Appearing at a charity golf tournament in Florida, Westbrook he said his scoped left knee was feeling great. Westbrook said that by getting the cleanout done, he hopes to avoid the constant swelling that limited him last season.

Obviously, Westbrook, who reminded Daily News staffer Les Bowen this was his first knee surgery since an ACL repair in 1999, was doing well enough to golf. As noted in last week's Fantasy Notebook, the Eagles never announced Westbrook's procedure. His left knee was a continuing irritation to him last season. He is expected to be ready for the team's off-season work.
