With less than six hours until the start of free agency, the Bengals’ biggest free agent does not have a deal to remain with the team. Houshmandzadeh said he has not heard from his agent, Kennard McGuire, about a possible deal to keep the eight-year wide receiver in Cincinnati.

The veteran receiver was commenting on a report by The National Football Post's Mike Lombardi suggesting that the two sides were close to an agreement -- and that Houshmandzadeh had about a 70 percent chance of remaining a Bengal. ... According to the Enquirer, as many as eight teams could be in the T.J. Derby starting Friday, but the favorites remain the Eagles, Giants and Bears.
