Taylor met with the Buffalo Bills yesterday morning and told reporters he was headed for New England to visit with the Patriots. It wasn’t clear if the Pats hosted Taylor yesterday or if there is a meeting on tap today.

It appears the two AFC East rivals are the only teams bidding for the services of the Pro Bowl back, who was released by Jacksonville last week. Buffalo is an attraction, given Taylor has a relationship with coach Dick Jauron, who was previously on the Jaguars staff. As Herald staffer Karen Guregian noted, Taylor, 33, would also love a Super Bowl ring, which might weigh in the Pats’ favor.
