Cardinals Hope To Bring Kurt Waner Back In 2009
(1/28 6:59 PT)

The Facts:
Bloomberg News is reporting that the Cardinals will seek to bring Warner, 37, back next season. This comes from team president Mike Bidwill. "We'd love to have him back," Bidwill said in an interview with Bloomberg Radio's "On the Ball" program. "We're going to sit down and talk to him about it in the offseason. Hopefully, we can come to a mutually satisfactory agreement." Reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As previously noted, Warner can become a free agent next month. That's the way it was planned. Warner would be a bridge to the next trial for former No. 1 pick Matt Leinart. In case you missed it, Warner's agent told the Chicago Tribune that the veteran quarterback is open to entertaining offers from all teams in order to test his value. We'll remind you, however, that Warner has previously hinted at a reluctance to move his family away from Arizona.
