Boldin missed a second day of practice Wednesday because of a hamstring strain, and he remains unsure about his status for Saturday night's divisional playoff game against the Panthers. "I'm just taking it a day at time and do whatever I can to get it better," Boldin said.

Boldin is undergoing therapy to strengthen the hamstring and "get the knot out," he said. The challenge now, he said, "is to do enough to get me going but not enough to aggravate it." Boldin confirmed his availability for this weekend's game probably won't be known until he works out Saturday evening. "For me, I would say I'm going no matter what," he said, "but at the same time you've got to be smart and not damage it further. ..." Still, as HC Ken Whisenhunt pointed out: "Playoff games are a little bit different than in-season because you never know when your last one is coming. ... I think if there is a chance Anquan can go without injuring it further, then that's certainly something we'll strongly consider." Stay tuned.
