Roethlisberger lay on the turf for nearly 15 minutes before being taken off the field on a stretcher late in the second quarter of an essentially meaningless game Sunday against Cleveland after being leveled by two Browns defenders, Willie McGinest at about shoulder level and D’Qwell Jackson at the quarterback’s knees. Roethlisberger’s head struck the ground hard as McGinest drove him backward. ... Positives? With a first-round bye, Roethlisberger should be available for post-season duty.
