The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... Jacobs said the left knee injury he suffered in the third quarter when he fell to the ground after a 5-yard run was nothing serious and nothing new. He hurt the same knee back in early October against Seattle, and has managed to bang it up in pretty much every game since. “It didn’t cause any more damage to it," he said. "It should be fine.”

In fact, Jacobs said, he could’ve come back into the game if needed. But by the time the Giants got the ball back with about 14 minutes left in the fourth quarter and the Giants trailing 17-7, it was obvious this just wasn’t their day. “I could’ve (come back in), but why?” he said. “We couldn’t get anything going. We weren’t playing as good as we were supposed to play. ...” HC Tom Coughlin didn't sound worried, either, “Brandon, it hopefully is not going to be anything big,” Coughlin said of his star running back.
