Following up on a previous item. ... Frerotte suffered a low back bruise in the Vikings’ 20-16 victory over the Lions today at Ford Field, according to HC Brad Childress. Childress said Frerotte is “very sore right now so we’re trying to settle him down and make him comfortable.”

Childress refused to speculate if Frerotte might miss additional time and Frerotte, who was hurt making a tackle late in the first half after throwing an interception and was taken from the sideline to the locker room on a cart, declined to speak to reporters. ... Jackson completed eight of 10 passes for 105 yards with a touchdown, no interceptions and an impressive passer rating of 143.8.
