Barber was not at practice Monday, the first time the Cowboys were back on the field since he was hurt Thanksgiving Day. HC Wade Phillips said Barber is “day to day.” Barber has a dislocated right pinkie toe.

An MRI Friday revealed no significant damage for Barber. Phillips isn't sure Barber will practice. But even if Barber is not able to go through contact drills, Phillips said the running back would take part in daily walkthroughs as the team prepares for Sunday’s game at Pittsburgh. ... We'll be watching this one closely in coming days, but expect Barber to play.
