Derek Anderson underwent an MRI exam Monday after suffering a sprained left medial collateral ligament in Sunday’s 10-6 loss to the Colts. HC Romeo Crennel said Ken Dorsey will start Sunday’s game at Tennessee in place of Anderson, who could be out for the season.

Dorsey was 0-for-3 Sunday in his first action of the season. He has not started since Week 12 of the 2005 season when he was with the 49ers. ... Meanwhile, Kellen Winslow also underwent an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the ankle injury he suffered in Sunday’s game. The team didn't announce the results of that exam. “We are all concerned to see if it is a high ankle (sprain) because those usually take a little longer,” Crennel said. ... Stay tuned.
