In his second season with New England, Welker set the mark when he caught a 12-yard pass from Matt Cassel on the opening drive of the third quarter. It was his 62nd catch of the season. Welker, who tied for the league lead with 112 receptions in 2007, entered Sunday’s game with 56 catches for 503 yards and a touchdown.
