The Facts:
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell met with Johnson and Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork on Tuesday. Today, he could suspend them. Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that suspensions are possible for both players, with an announcement possibly coming as early as this morning. The league would probably announce the suspensions Wednesday to give the Chiefs and Patriots time to game plan around their absences.

Of the two players who spoke with Goodell, Schefter believes Johnson is facing more severe discipline. Johnson has been named in multiple incidents and could be facing a suspension under the league’s Personal Conduct Policy. Goodell has handed down tougher penalties to players who misbehave off the field than on it, which probably means Johnson is in for a longer suspension after his trip to the principal’s office.
