Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The 43-year-old Cable is the Falcons former offensive line coach. Cable also was offensive coordinator at UCLA in 2004-2005 under Karl Dorrell. He also has been a head coach at the University of Idaho, his alma mater, from 2000-2003, when he compiled an 11-35 record before being replaced. Cable is a disciple of former Raiders offensive line coach Alex Gibbs, whom owner Al Davis once fired and refused to pay (imagine that). Gibbs took Davis to court, the case went to arbitration and Gibbs won, though it’s not believed that Gibbs collected his money. ... Cable undoubtedly took Davis' history in such matters in account before accepting the job.
