The Facts:
The father of Boldin said Monday that his suffered only minor injuries in a scary collision with a pair of New York Jets safeties Sunday. Carl Boldin said his son received "a couple of stitches on his lip" and suffered a fractured sinus membrane. Carl Boldin added that his son was knocked unconscious.

HC Ken Whisenhunt said he was uncertain if Boldin could return to action as early as Sunday, when the Cardinals have a home game against Buffalo. "If it was left up to Anquan he would be able to play today," his father said. "But we have to err on the side of caution. If he's cleared medically, though, he'll play. ..." We're not banking on Boldin getting that clearance this week but stay tuned.
