Chad Jackson Looking To Pick Up The Pace
(7/19 8:11 PT)

The Facts:
Entering his third NFL season, the 6-1-inch, 215-pound Jackson is finally healthy and focused, positioned to capitalize on his tantalizing talent, provide the Patriots with another option at receiver, and prove wrong those who have already anointed him Bethel Johnson 2.0, a speedy pass-catcher who plays better in shorts than he does in shoulder pads. Reported by the Boston Globe

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
So wrote Globe staffer Christopher L. Gasper, who added that few Patriots have as much to gain -- or lose -- during training camp as Jackson. In his first two seasons, the former University of Florida standout had 13 receptions for 152 yards and three touchdowns. Still, Donte' Stallworth's departure opens up a competition for the team's third receiving spot. Jackson will battle Jabar Gaffney and Kelley Washington for the job and reports from off-season workouts suggest Jackson is ready to bust a move. He's a player we'll be watching closely.
