Bengals On Shaun Alexander's List
(4/30 12:27 PT)

The Facts:
So, what are the chances Alexander (from nearby Florence, Kentucky), who was terminated by the Seahawks this offseason after eight years in Seattle winds up in Cincinnati? "Making calls to teams. Bengals are on our list!" Jim Steiner, Alexander's agent, told the Enquirer in an e-mail this morning. Reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Enquirer staffer Mark Curnutte points out, the draft is completed. The Bengals did not select a back. HC Marvin Lewis said the team is optimistic that Rudi Johnson and Chris Perry will return to health and the field in 2008. There is depth with Kenny Watson. There is the untapped potential of DeDe Dorsey and Kenny Irons, who probably won't be ready for the start of training camp as he continues to rehab from a torn ACL injury. ... Remember: Alexander turns 31 before the start of the season and his best days appear to be behind him. He'll need to be realistic about contract demands.
