The Facts:
HC Romeo Crennel on Thursday bluntly clarified where his QBs stand. "Derek Anderson is the starter," Crennel said. "Brady Quinn is the backup."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
In addition to Crennel's endorsement, GM Phil Savage said at the NFL owner's meetings that Quinn "would really have to play lights out" to overtake Anderson in camp or that Anderson "would have to play really poorly." Quinn is still gearing up to be the starter, but those looking for a drama similar to last summer's -- when Crennel's reluctance to name a starter early should have tipped us off to just how tenuous Charlie Frye's grip on the job was -- might want to look elsewhere.
