The Facts:
Willie Parker, whose fibula was broken in the 15th game of the season, is working out and running at home in North Carolina and the Steelers are optimistic he'll be fine as new in 2008. Hines Ward, who had knee surgery, also was working out at home, in Atlanta, but plans to return to Pittsburgh today to take part in the off-season drills. "Things are going well with him," HC Mike Tomlin said.

Parker was the NFL's leading rusher until his right fibula was broken in the 15th game of the season. Assuming he's ready to go full speed when training camp opens, Parker, who has rushed for more than 1,200 yards in three consecutive seasons, should continue to offer big-play capability.
