The Facts:
The possibility of injury-prone Green coming back to Miami seems increasingly remote. The Dolphins last week terminated Green's contract, but both sides were said to be open to striking another deal. There are signs that interest has waned. "Since the release, we have not rearranged to discuss his situation with the Miami Dolphins," said Green's agent, Jim Steiner.

As Post staffer Tim Graham suggests, the Dolphins need to pick a direction at quarterback, and free agency starts Feb. 29. They also hold four of the top 64 picks in the upcoming draft. Some believe Boston College standout Matt Ryan has the build and the intellect that Bill Parcells likes. But some observers, including Miami Herald staffer Jeff Darlington, believe the team still has faith in last year's second-round pick John Beck. ... Stay tuned.
