Following up on a previous item. ... Profootballtalk.com is reporting "rumblings" from its sources at the NFL Scouting Combine that the Seahawks could be cutting Alexander soon. Don't believe it. The club would not even comment on the report, saying it doesn't deserve a response.

According to Post-Intelligencer beat writer Clare Farnsworth, the Seahawks are not ready to give up on Alexander, yet. If he is released, Farnsworth believes it would likely come after June 1. Farnsworth went on to suggest something SI.com's Bucky Brooks recently noted: Some in the organization want to see how well Alexander performs now that the club has signed veteran Mike Wahle to fill the void at left guard and hired assistant coach Mike Solari to infuse some needed tenacity into the line. ...
