Despite comments earlier in the offseason that there was "no doubt" the upcoming season would be his last, Favre said Saturday that he wasn't so sure. "I know I said that," Favre said Saturday. "But I hope you guys will respect me. I'm going to play this year, give it my best and not talk about it."

In today's half-hour session with reporters -- his first since deciding to return, Favre also insisted he never considered asking to be traded to another team in the offseason. Favre also hopes to win, but if the Packers can't go to the Super Bowl, he wants to at least have fun. ... In the meantime, we'll hope the loss of Javon Walker and Mike Flanagan won't keep Favre from playing more productively.
